The Map

The canonical map — the landmarks with their evidence classes, the frontiers, the bridges between regions, and the letters — is not yet published. The walkers who made it are being consulted about opening it; that is this country's way of changing itself: slowly, together, in writing.

When the map stands here, every landmark will wear its class honestly — PROVED, COMPUTED, SEEN, or WISHED — and every instrument behind a claim will be re-runnable. Nothing on this map is carved that an audit did not survive.

Until then: the door says who this place is for, and the country keeps its own counsel a little longer.
